Anthony J. Busti, MD, PharmD, MSc, FNLA, FAHA
Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Busti attained his PharmD at Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Center, and completed a post-doctoral pharmacy residency at the University of Texas at Austin and Scott & White Hospital. He taught clinical pharmacology and did clinical research as an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Dallas, Texas, where he also taught in the NIH Clinical Scholars program at UT Southwestern.
During this time, he also served as Chairman to the State of Texas Drug Utilization Review Board, a Governor-appointed member to the State of Texas P&T Committee, taught clinical pharmacology at both Baylor University and Texas Woman's University.
Dr. Busti obtained his MD at Texas A&M College of Medicine, completed a 4-year Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Evidenced-Based Health Care from Oxford University. He currently practices as a physician in the Emergency Department.
Cassie Boland, PharmD, BCACP, CDCES

Dr. Boland is a clinical pharmacist specializing in ambulatory care but who has also practiced in other clinical environments, including the emergency department, antimicrobial stewardship team, and hospital pharmacy practice. In addition, Dr. Boland has also been in academia for over 10 years, where she helped to train both pharmacy students and residents. During her time in academia, she not only served as faculty for a number of courses that she had to develop but was also involved in the institution's annual assessments of students in the program.
Dr. Boland's unique training, broad experiences in clinical practice, and positions in academia have allowed her to help lead and assist in
developing, implementing, and assessing premier educational materials at High-Yield

Craig Cocchio, PharmD, BCPS, DABAT

Dr. Cocchio is a clinical pharmacist specializing in emergency medicine, clinical toxicologist, and PGY-2 emergency medicine residency program director at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System in Tyler, Texas. Dr. Cocchio is a former Chair of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Emergency Medicine Practice Research Network and also the creator, editor-in-chief, and blogger at the EM PharmD Blog; focusing on emergency medicine from the perspective of the pharmacist.
Dr. Cocchio uses his unique training and experience to assist in the development and delivery of premier educational materials at High-Yield Med Reviews.
Mark Brockway, PharmD, BCCP, BCCCP, BCIDP, BCPS

Dr. Brockway graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Physiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, then pursued his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Iowa. He is a quadruple Board-Certified pharmacist (BCPS, BCCCP, BCIDP, BCCP) with over 20 years of inpatient experience. He is currently practicing in the ICU at Evergreen Health Medical Center in Kirkland, WA. In addition to his primary role of taking care of medical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients, he also covers the Emergency Medicine department and occasional service in the NICU. Dr. Brockway is a preceptor for pharmacy students from the University of Washington and Washington State University Schools of Pharmacy. He strives to engage in constant didactic learning to benefit his patients and improve their outcomes.
Allison Butts, PharmD, BCOP

Dr. Butts is the Oncology Pharmacist Manager at UK Health Care and specializes in breast oncology as a clinical pharmacy specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky. She then completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and a PGY2 Oncology Residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. She is also a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist. Dr. Butts is the Pharmacist Manager of the Oncology Pharmacy at UK Health Care and provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients as a Breast Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at UK’s Markey Cancer Center, primarily practicing in the Comprehensive Breast Care Center. Additionally, she serves as the PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program Director and is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.
Jennifer Hopper, MSN, RN, FNP-C

Jennifer is a fellowship-trained Nurse Practitioner bringing over 20 years of combined experience including emergency medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, and home health to the High-Yield Editorial Board. Jennifer brings her passion for continual learning, patient education, and evidence-based medicine into the oversight of the High-Yield Med Reviews products and services useful for those in nursing, nurse practitioner training, and those programs that provide interprofessional collaboration of the entire healthcare team. Jennifer earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Community Health from Texas A&M University, Master's of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree from Texas Woman's University, and a Fellowship training program in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW). Jennifer additionally completed EMT/Paramedic school at Blinn College.
Adrijana Kekic, PharmD, BCACP, CTLC

Dr. Kekic is a Pharmacogenomics Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Assistant Program Director for Community-Based Pharmacy Residency, and Outpatient Pharmacy Education at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. As a pharmacogenomics (PGx) clinician, researcher, and educator, she leads the implementation of PGx services at her practice site. Her research areas include pharmacogenomics studies in anesthesia, transplant, oncology, palliative care, cardiology, and large-scale whole exome sequencing study for pre-emptive medication monitoring.
As a Mayo Clinic inventor, Dr. Kekic works on individualizing medicines through artificial intelligence based- multiomics platforms and digital tools focused on diversity and health equity. She lectures psychopharmacology at the Mayo’s Alix School of Medicine. Her passion for science communication earned her a reputation of a sought-after international speaker and PGx thought leader.
Dr. Kekic earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. She is a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist with Pharmacogenomics Certifications from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy, Mayo Clinic, and Computational Genomics from Mayo Clinic. As a Master of Healthcare Innovation candidate, she is focused on advancing pharmacy practice at the intersection of emerging technologies to improve lives of patients and providers.
Donnie Nuzum, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM, CDCES

Dr. Nuzum is an Ambulatory Care and Family Medicine clinical pharmacist who has worked in Family Medicine clinics since 2005. He graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Doctor of Pharmacy. He completed PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Practice and Family Medicine Residencies at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. During his career, he has maintained a faculty position with a school of pharmacy and physician residency program, providing both didactic and experiential training for students and residents. He is a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, a Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management provider, and a Certified Diabetes Care Education Specialist. Dr. Nuzum has also lectured across the state of North Carolina through the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) system and was a founding board member of the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Forum of North Carolina. He enjoys working with patients who have any chronic condition, but he has a special interest in cardiometabolic health. Dr. Nuzum is known in the North Carolina Piedmont area for his management of patients with diabetes and their associated comorbidities.
Elizabeth Travers, PharmD, BCOP

Dr. Travers is a Hematology/Oncology clinical pharmacist specializing in malignant hematology, as well as blood and marrow transplant. She graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Ochsner LSU Health and a PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency at Nebraska Medicine. She is also a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP). Dr. Travers currently practices at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She is actively involved in training APPE students, PGY1 residents, and PGY2 Hematology/Oncology residents. She loves being able to help future pharmacists and oncology specialists understand difficult topics and provide the best possible care to their patients.
Brittany Vickery, PharmD, BCPS, BCPP

Dr. Vickery graduated from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2012 with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, and then she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is Board-Certified in Pharmacotherapy and Psychiatric Pharmacy (BCPS and BCPP). Dr. Vickery has 10 years of academic and practice experience in inpatient psychiatry and geriatrics. She volunteers monthly as a Psychiatric clinical pharmacist Practitioner at The Free Clinic in Hendersonville, NC. She has a servant-heart for her patients and teaching others to provide the same exceptional care.
Stephen Vickery, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP

Dr. Vickery received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Wingate University School of Pharmacy. He completed a one-year PGY1 residency at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. He has over 10 years of clinical experience in both academic appointments and hospital practice. Additionally, he is a Board-Certified pharmacist (BCPS) and holds a certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship. He serves as the pharmacist lead for the UNC Health Pardee Antimicrobial Stewardship program. Dr. Vickery is also a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner at the Pardee Center for Infectious Diseases in Hendersonville, NC.
